flannel, dish towels). Cut each mask into two pieces at 9" x 6" (for
adults) or 7.5" x 5" (for children).

· Approximately 14 inches of elastic rope and 7inches of Xpand no-tie shoelaces are used for each mask's earloops.

Here are some instructions to follow:

The mask isa 9x8-inch rectangle with 1-inch peat if you don't have a printer.Take cotton
fabric and cut it into two pieces.

Cut two pieces ofinterfacing using the pattern (MUST be nonwoven).

Put the front andback sides of the cut fabric together.

Layer theinterfacing in both directions on top of the fabric (on the back side of the
fabric).

Sew the top9" seam with a 14" seam allowance (2.5-3 stitch length is ideal).

Flip it open withthe fabric's front side up.

Press the seam tothe side.

In between thetwo pieces of fabric, insert a metal piece along the seam.

To fasten themetal component, stitch the 1" rectangle that is shown at the top of the
pattern (wrong sides together).

After reversingto the right side, sew the bottom 9" seam.

Reverse thefabric to the right side out and press the bottom seam.

Mark pleats withthe aid of a pattern. Pinch the three pleats together in a single direction and
secure them with a pin.

Trim the bindingtape to 36" on each side.

The mask shouldbe pinned on with the binding placed between it and the centre points of the
tying and the mask.

Sew the bindingtogether.

On the oppositeside of the mask, repeat.
