Sometimes I am especially excited to write about certain occasions, and this was one of those times. When I was asked to guest blog on a fashion girl, I jumped at the chance. I have a background in fashion design and know what I like, dislike, and catch my attention. I love to tell the story of the trials and tribulations I went through as a fashion student, designer, wearer, lover, and friend. And, I was hoping to share some of those victories and successes with my readers.
This past October, my fashion girl's name is Libra; she is a tall thin, beautiful blackwoman. She is also the mother of a young boy whose name is Chase. She was invited to guest blog on a particular fashion blog for two weeks. It was my first time ever being a guest blogger. I was excited about it but nervous at the same time because I am not the best writer.
The fashionworld is a large and varied place. I am not the best writer nor the mosttalented. So I prepared myself to be interviewed by this fashion girl and do my best to deliver. She was very nice and very informative. In fact, I learned a lot about fashion from her blog.
What Ireally like about fashion is its diversity. You can be a fashionista in a smalltown in the Midwest, or you can be a super fashion star living in New York City. There is something for everyone in the fashion world, even for moms like me, who love to fiddle around in the fashion and style aspect of it but also find other ways to express themselves in the world of fashion. Fashion is just a really big part of life for me. I like to find ways to make my little girl's clothes as personalized as possible for her, with my monogram, embroidered logo, and the name of her family embroidered on them.
I also wantmy fashion designs to be as unique and original as possible. I want to be carefulnot to plagiarize any girl's fashion designs, especially ones I have seen online. I don't know how I am going to pull this off, but I will try. My goal is to teach my daughter to love fashion and appreciate it, and take fashion design seriously. If I can do that, I think that she can learn to do the same.
As a kid, fashion was all about pinks and blues. Later on, I liked more neutral colors, such as black, grey, and white. As a little girl's mom, I am very conscious of quality when it comes to anything that my daughter will wear. Quality should always be first and foremost.
As a fashion-forwardyoung woman myself, I have traveled to many fashion shows. In fact, I thinkthat I have even visited my own local department store to get ideas on how to dress my little girls. At the age of 18, I am already very knowledgeable in the fashion world, even if I only speak Spanish. But I am thankful to God that I am able to have the privilege of knowing so much at such a young age.
Being a fashion-conscious parent makes it hardfor you to walk around the mall without being sidetracked. I have to stop and take note of the nice outfits that my daughter or any other little girl in the store has to wear. I can't help but be in awe at all the creativity and art that goes into making each garment. I can't wait to go to another store and see all the wonderful things that the fashion world has to offer our little girls. It makes me realize just why fashion is important to every living thing on thisearth. If you are a fashion girl or seek best fashion for moms be sure to visit Exclusive GLO.
